To compete for year end awards & at the Finals you will need to purchase a membership for all classes that apply. May purchase 2nd horse membership or other class memberships at any time before the finals. Contestants must compete in 4 sanctioned races (per horse) to compete in the Open Finals. No race minimum for other classes. Please note if a race you are attending is CO SANCTIONED you must pay the $2/run (ex. $4 if points for Open & Youth) race fee for points or qualifiers to count.
Novice Horse Memberships - Novice horses will compete in the class they are eligible for. If a $500 Novice membership has been purchased, horse will accumulate points in the Open once they win over $500 in their lifetime. Dollar amounts won will be kept track of by Sagelands at Sagelands races, whether membership is purchased or not. If your novice horse moves out of the novice by the finals, you may run a different novice horse but points will not roll to the nominated horse. Any eligible novice horse may run at the finals if membership for novice is purchased.
Must purchase open memberships for all horses you wish to run at the finals.
Classes below - After 1 membership purchased you may run more than horse at the finals for classes below, but will only accumulate year end points for memberships bought.
Seniors - Must be 50 before 9/9/2010 - May not compete in Senior till you are 50.
Youth - May not turn 18 before 9/12/2009
Pee Wee - May not turn 11 before 9/12/2009
